Invitation to the project seminar on 9 November 2022: Finland back on the path to growth, but by what means?

We are now being tested by an extraordinary combination of health, safety, environmental and economic crises. The corona pandemic, Russia’s war of aggression, accelerating climate change, the energy market shock and long-term economic stagnation are reshaping societies – and Finland is no exception.

In order for economic growth to return to a sustainable growth trajectory, it requires the revival of innovation, investments in the resilience of societies and a favorable political environment for making reforms.

The joint research project of Etla and the University of Turku “ReGrow – Reigniting Growth through Innovation” aims to meet the challenges of economic growth. The project is also looking for new policy levers that could be used to increase the productivity of innovations in the global turmoil. Several well-known international implementers from the universities of Stanford, Waterloo and Oxford and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are involved in the project.

Now it’s time to present the results of the research project, and we want to invite you to the seminar to look for growth drivers!
